But you are welcome to pay more if you wish. All donations and membership fees are tax-deductible. You will then be sent your membership card in the post.

The Friends of the National Theatre offer their members a unique opportunity to develop an intimate, special relationship with the National Theatre and to help shape and share in its development as a Friend and patron.
The Bavarian State Opera and our association share a special friendship. The relationship goes beyond sponsorship or a business partnership. It is based on loyalty, devotion and mutual respect – an outstanding example of civic commitment.
We would be happy to assist and advise you if you’d like to get more closely involved, above and beyond basic membership.
The international standing of the Bavarian State Opera is also reflected in the growing number of foreign members in our association. We enjoy welcoming new Friends not only from around Europe, but also from Japan and all over the world.
It couldn’t be easier to apply – online. You will receive diaries of events and other information by e-mail. Of course, you are also welcome to take part in all of the Friends’ activities. We ask for your understanding that guided tours are generally conducted in German.
